Our Floor Coating Warranty
At Premier Floor Coatings, we take pride in the work we do. We have installed polyaspartic and epoxy floor coatings across the Des Moines metro since 2019. We grind every slab, repair every crack, and prep each floor the right way before we coat it. That care is what makes our floors last, and it is why we are glad to stand behind them.
We back both our materials and our workmanship. When you hire us, you should feel confident that your floor is built to hold up for years. This page explains what our warranty covers, how a claim works, and a few simple things that keep your floor in good standing.

What Our Warranty Covers
Our warranty has two parts. The coating materials we install are backed by the manufacturer’s product warranty, which covers the coating against defects for [CONFIRM PRODUCT WARRANTY TERM]. On top of that, we provide a workmanship warranty of [CONFIRM NUMBER] years that covers our install. If the coating peels, delaminates, or lifts because of how it was installed, we will make it right.
Both warranties apply to the residential garage and basement floors we install. We give you the full written warranty details with your quote, so you know exactly what is covered before any work begins.
How a Warranty Claim Works
If you notice a problem with your floor, reach out and send us a photo. We look into it quickly. If the issue falls under our warranty, we come out and assess it at no cost to you. When the cause is our materials or our install, we repair or recoat the affected area at no charge. The process is simple, and we keep you informed at every step.
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
A coating protects the surface of your concrete, but it cannot change what happens under the slab. A few things fall outside the warranty.
Damage from moisture or water pressure rising up through the concrete is not covered. This is why we test every basement floor for moisture before we quote it, and why good drainage around your home matters. Standing water and poor drainage work against any coating.
We also do not cover cracks that form when the concrete slab itself shifts or settles, since the coating follows the concrete underneath. Normal wear, scratches, gouges, dropped or dragged objects, harsh chemicals, and damage from misuse or improper cleaning are not covered either. We walk you through all of this in plain terms when we quote your floor.
Keeping Your Floor in Warranty
Caring for a coated floor is easy. Sweep or dust mop it as needed, and wipe up oil, salt, and chemicals when you see them. Use a soft mop and a mild cleaner for a deeper clean. Avoid dragging sharp metal across the surface or dropping heavy, sharp objects on it. For garages and basements, keep water out and make sure the area drains well. These simple habits protect your floor and keep your warranty in good standing.

Warranty Questions
Does the warranty cover my basement floor?
Yes. The workmanship warranty applies to basement floors we install. Because basements deal with moisture, we test every slab first, and damage from moisture rising up through the concrete is not covered.
What happens if my floor starts to peel?
If a floor we installed peels or lifts because of our materials or our workmanship, send us a photo. We assess it at no cost and repair the affected area under warranty.
Is the warranty transferable if I sell my home?
It depends on the terms of your written agreement and the manufacturer’s policy. We spell this out in the warranty we give you. Ask us during your quote and we will give you a clear answer.
How do I start a warranty claim?
Reach out by phone or email and send a photo of the issue. We respond quickly and walk you through the next steps.
